Basketball Recap: Potomac Takes a Loss

Potomac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against College Park Academy, falling 61-36. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 42-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Potomac's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for College Park Academy, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac will take on Gwynn Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Gwynn Park's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for College Park Academy, they will challenge Fairmont Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
