Football Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were beaten by the Bloomington Bruins 50-18. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 49-0 to the Bruins when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Notre Dame's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ayden Parra, who picked up 124 receiving yards and three TDs, and Isaac Goodman, who threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns.

As for Bloomington, their win bumped their record up to 4-5. Considering they have won three games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Fraembs was his usual excellent self, rushing for 163 yards and four scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 39 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Derek Fraembs helped out on the ground, rushing for 118 yards and a rushing touchdown.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Notre Dame will square off against rival Rialto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bloomington is set to take on their familiar foe Fontana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
