Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centennial). They put the hurt on the Shafter Generals with a sharp 6-1 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Their offense was hitting Shafter from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Xavier Lopez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Centennial now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Shafter, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Centennial will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against North at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Shafter, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delano at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
