Baseball Recap: Sylvan Hills Takes a Loss

The Sylvan Hills Bears didn't have quite enough to beat the Prairie Ridge Wolves on Monday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by just one run.

Sylvan Hills has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. Prairie Ridge now has a winning record of 2-1-1.

Coming up, Sylvan Hills will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Sylvan Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Prairie Ridge, they will challenge Rivercrest at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Prairie Ridge is facing Rivercrest at the right time seeing as Rivercrest is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
