Recap: Harvest Community Warriors vs. Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors
The Harvest Community Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 51-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harvest Community in their matchups with Covenant School of Jacksonville: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Harvest Community saw an underclassman step up: Rebekah Harmer scored 16 points. Elise Harmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Harvest Community's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Community will take on First Coast Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. First Coast Christian is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they will be playing at home against Global Outreach Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
