Softball Preview: Marshall Tigers vs. Fairmont Cardinals        
        
		
            
 The Marshall Tigers will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against the Fairmont Cardinals at 4:00  p.m. Marshall will be strutting in after a  victory while Fairmont will be coming in after a  loss.
 Marshall can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand St. Peter  a   6-0 shutout.
  Morgan Bjella was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Bjella was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  MacKenzie Olsen was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Meanwhile, Fairmont fell victim to St. Peter and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They lost  10-0 to the Saints.
 Marshall now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fairmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
