Baseball Recap: Earlville Comes Up Short

Earlville lost against Somonauk on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Raiders lost 18-5 to the Bobcats. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lane Rohrer and Hayden Spoonmore did some serious damage despite the final result: Rohrer went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Spoonmore went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that Rohrer has snagged this season.

Earlville's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Somonauk, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Earlville will square off against Indian Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Somonauk, they will face off against Plano at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
