Basketball Recap: BASIS - Chandler Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

BASIS - Chandler won the last time they faced South Pointe, and Matthew Akpan did his part to make sure it happened again. The BASIS - Chandler Bobcats breezed by the South Pointe Griffins to the tune of 69-39 on Thursday thanks in part to Akpan, who posted 24 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

Despite the loss, South Pointe still got an impressive performance from Lee Reed, who put up 12 points.

BASIS - Chandler's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for South Pointe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

BASIS - Chandler is taking a road trip to challenge ASU Prep Poly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
