Basketball Game Preview: Red Rock Scorpions vs. Fountain Hills Falcons

The Red Rock Scorpions will square off against the Fountain Hills Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Red Rock is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over Grand Canyon on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Fountain Hills had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Spartans 79-26. With the Falcons ahead 46-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Fountain Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Red Rock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Red Rock might still be hurting after the 66-45 loss they got from Fountain Hills when the teams last played back in January of 2015. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Red Rock was down 39-14.
