Recap: Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles vs. Northeastern Knights

The Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-12 defeat at the hands of Northeastern. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cambridge City Lincoln in their matchups with Northeastern: they've now lost six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adysson Kircher, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Kircher hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Ava Mikesell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six steals.

Cambridge City Lincoln dropped their record down to 3-17 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Northeastern, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Cambridge City Lincoln will square off against Blue River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Blue River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Thursday. Northeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
