Soccer Recap: Francis W. Parker Takes a Loss

Francis W. Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Latin Romans. While losing is never fun, Francis W. Parker can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Latin are ranked 96th).

Francis W. Parker's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Latin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Francis W. Parker will challenge North Shore Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Latin, they will face off against Payton College Prep at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
