Delaware County Christian came out on top against Jenkintown on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 14-run third inning. The Knights were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Drakes. Considering the Knights have won seven matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nathan Burd looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Beau Lyren was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Delaware County Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't). Gabe Digregorio also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Delaware County Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
