Softball Recap: Calhoun Academy Beats Jefferson Davis Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Calhoun Academy won the last time they faced Jefferson Davis Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Calhoun Academy Cavaliers were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders. Fans of the Cavaliers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Sara Marshall Covington was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Coker Carson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Calhoun Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson Davis Academy struck out eight times.
