Central Square had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-4 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles. The Redhawks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 21, 2024 (when they won 16-1).
Caytlin Redeye made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Redeye was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Central Square got a massive performance out of Payton St.Clair, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one double. Isabelle Koagel also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Central Square kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jordan-Elbridge only managed three hits.
As for Jordan-Elbridge, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Jordan-Elbridge's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Fraher, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Square will welcome East Syracuse-Minoa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they will host Chittenango at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
