Atlantic hadn't done well against Knoxville recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 2-1. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Atlantic and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Knoxville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic will venture away from home to face off against Lewis Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Knoxville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clarke at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
