Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Has No Trouble Against Middletown + How To Watch

Cumberland lost to Middletown back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Clippers blew past the Islanders 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Clippers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cumberland took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-6, 25-6.

Cumberland can attribute much of their success to Mia Hamel, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces Hamel has posted over her last seven contests. Avery Bohac was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Cumberland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Cumberland's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Middletown, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
