Football Recap: Denbigh Comes Up Short

Denbigh lost against Bethel back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots were beaten by the Bruins 54-15. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Bruins are ranked 99th).

Denbigh's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bethel, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denbigh will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bethel, they are taking a road trip to face off against Kecoughtan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
