Soccer Game Preview: Pilgrim vs. Coventry

Pilgrim is 1-6 against Coventry since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Patriots will look to defend their home pitch against the Oakers at 5:00 p.m. Pilgrim is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Pilgrim took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over West Warwick. Pilgrim haven't had any issues with West Warwick recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jackson Bromage and Jonathan Lopes scored all three of Pilgrim's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Coventry and Tiverton finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Coventry's draw gives them a new season record of 5-2-3. As for Pilgrim, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
