Baseball Recap: Kenwood Takes a Loss

The matchup between Kenwood and Parkville on Monday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. Kenwood came up short against Parkville, falling 17-4. The Bluebirds haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Kyle Morgan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Kenwood's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Parkville, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kenwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Randallstown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Parkville will face off against rival Loch Raven at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
