Softball Recap: Shakamak Lakers vs. Terre Haute South Vigo Braves
Shakamak had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 16-5 to the Terre Haute South Vigo Braves. If the Lakers were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Braves when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Ayana Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Barner, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.
The win got Terre Haute South Vigo back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, Shakamak is taking a road trip to take on Loogootee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Terre Haute South Vigo, they will take on Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
