Baseball Recap: Atlantic Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mainland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atlantic). They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Mainland Buccaneers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won three in a row.

Josiah Perez was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Cameron Mcarthur was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Perez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Atlantic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Atlantic's record now sits at 6-1. As for Mainland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic will challenge Taylor at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taylor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season. As for Mainland, they will face off against Seabreeze at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
