Basketball Recap: Lake Region Christian Takes a Loss

Lake Region Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 60-49 to the Prior Lake Christian Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-54 back in January.

Prior Lake Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Wilson led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine steals. That's the most steals Wilson has posted since back in January. Micah Lindsey was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 18 boards.

Lake Region Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Prior Lake Christian, their win bumped their record up to 22-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region Christian will square off against St. Francis Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lake Region Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Prior Lake Christian, they will take on Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Prior Lake Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season.
