Basketball Recap: Kopperl Takes a Loss

Kopperl was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Garner Longhorns 71-29. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 71-37 to the Longhorns when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kopperl's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Garner, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Kopperl will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Milford at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026. As for Garner, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bluff Dale at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
