Football Game Preview: Lutheran North Mustangs vs. Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish + Official Tickets

The Lutheran North Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after seven games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

On Friday, Lutheran North humbled Richard with a 56-6 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won six contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Richard blew past University Liggett, posting a 50-14 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-6.

Lutheran North better focus on containing Finn O'Meara and Nathan Kaji as the pair were huge in Gabriel Richard's win. O'Meara rushed for 78 yards and two TDs, while Kaji rushed for 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Gabriel Richard's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Lutheran North, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Lutheran North against Gabriel Richard in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
