Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Surry County

The Franklin Broncos will square off against the Surry County Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Franklin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Greensville County on Wednesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Surry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to Arcadia.

Surry County's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Franklin, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Franklin skirted past Surry County 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
