Soccer Recap: Cary-Grove Comes Up Short

The Cary-Grove Trojans didn't have quite enough to beat the Maine South Hawks on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Cary-Grove's goal came courtesy of Malaina Kurth, which was the first she's scored this season.

Cary-Grove now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Maine South, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cary-Grove will venture away from home to challenge Carmel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Maine South, they will head out to square off against Maine East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maine South will be up against Maine East's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.17 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
