Soccer Recap: Benet Academy Ends Even with Marmion

Benet Academy has not lost a match since September 17th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Neither they nor the Marmion Cadets could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Benet Academy got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Benet Academy's draw makes their record 7-1-4 this season. As for Marmion, they moved theirs to 11-4-3.

Benet Academy and Marmion should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Redwings (ranked 19th) will meet Belvidere North (ranked 221st) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Marmion will have a rank advantage in their matchup against Oswego at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
