Baseball Recap: Renville County West Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Renville County West had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove Falcons on Friday, falling 8-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Renville County West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Howard, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Coming up, Renville County West will face off against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove, they will square off against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
