Softball Game Preview: Niles Vikings vs. Edwardsburg Eddies

Niles is 2-8 against Edwardsburg since June of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m.

Niles fell victim to Jimtown and their airtight pitching crew last Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Jimmies.

Meanwhile, Edwardsburg got themselves on the board against Plainwell last Tuesday, but Plainwell never followed suit. They blew past the Trojans 20-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eddies.

Niles might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Edwardsburg when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
