Softball Recap: Nine Straight Road Wins for Pinelands Regional

Pinelands Regional is still undefeated this season after their match against Wall Township on Wednesday, but Wall Township came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Wildcats came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Crimson Knights. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 10-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Hannah Theuret was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. She also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season. Jozlyn Peterson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Pinelands Regional pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Wall Township, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinelands Regional will host Toms River North at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wall Township, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Colts Neck at 10:00 a.m.
