Bartram Trail has gone a perfect 9-0 against Atlantic Coast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bartram Trail Bears will take on the Atlantic Coast Stingrays at 9:30 a.m. Bartram Trail is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
On Tuesday, Bartram Trail came up short against Oviedo and fell 7-2.
Bartram Trail got a good showing from Logan Wells, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Wells gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.
At the plate, Colt Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Coast never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past Oviedo 10-0. Considering the Stingrays have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Dalton Tibbetts made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Atlantic Coast is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Tibbetts was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Delvin Haskell was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Noah Prudencio was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Atlantic Coast has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. Bartram Trail's loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Bartram Trail beat Atlantic Coast 4-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Bartram Trail have another victory up their sleeve, or will Atlantic Coast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
