Baseball Game Preview: Milby Buffs vs. Iowa Colony Pioneers

The Milby Buffs will square off against the Iowa Colony Pioneers at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Milby came up short against Goose Creek Memorial and fell 5-1. The match marked the Buffs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Michael Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Iowa Colony had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Trojans a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Milby now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Iowa Colony, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
