Volleyball Recap: Peoria Starts Season with Loss at Home

Peoria unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canton Little Giants on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-21.

Coming up, Peoria will challenge Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Canton, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Galesburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
