Softball Recap: McMinn County Comes Up Short

McMinn County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-4 to the Soddy Daisy Trojans. The Cherokees were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Addie Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

McMinn County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Soddy Daisy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3-1.

Looking ahead, McMinn County will challenge Chattanooga Central at 5:30 p.m. on March 21st. Chattanooga Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so McMinn County's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Soddy Daisy, they will square off against Chattanooga Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
