Soccer Game Preview: Fulshear vs. Alief Elsik

The Fulshear Chargers will square off against the Alief Elsik Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fulshear is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering George Ranch just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. Neither they nor the Longhorns could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Chargers happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 11th.

Meanwhile, Alief Elsik was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Lake Creek, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Lions are ranked 95th).

Fulshear's draw gives them a new season record of 4-5-2. As for Alief Elsik, they now have a losing record at 6-7-1.
