Merrimack Valley and Kennett are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Pride will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Merrimack Valley is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Pelham hit Merrimack Valley with a six-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pride fell 7-2 to the Pythons.

Meanwhile, Kennett fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Laconia on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sachems by a score of 6-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Merrimack Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Merrimack Valley couldn't quite get it done against Kennett when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Pride avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
