Football Recap: Blue Ridge's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Blue Ridge had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Jacksboro by a score of 48-41. The victory was familiar territory for Blue Ridge, who have now won four games in a row.

Jacob Walker had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 279 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 113.5 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Liam Finan, who threw for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Blue Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 422 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Blue Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyse Lennon and Andrew Gaddis.

When it comes to explaining why Jacksboro lost, don't look at Wyatt Gavit. Despite the final result, he rushed for 170 yards and three scores, and also threw for 326 yards and a pair of TDs. Jacksboro is 4-1 when Gavit posts 250 or more passing yards, but 3-4 otherwise. Jacksboro's leading receiver Kase Dennis was Gavit's top target yet again, picking up 128 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Blue Ridge's record now sits at 7-4. As for Jacksboro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Blue Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 34-28 loss against Leonard on the 28th. Jacksboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
