Basketball Game Preview: Evangelical Christian Sentinels vs. Oasis Sharks

Evangelical Christian and Oasis are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Evangelical Christian Sentinels will be playing at home against the Oasis Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Evangelical Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

Evangelical Christian will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Naples, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Evangelical Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 victory over Naples on Saturday.

Evangelical Christian can attribute much of their success to Quez Outten, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 21 points, and Drew Irwin, who went 6 for 13 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. David Morris was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Oasis fought the good fight in their overtime game against South Fort Myers on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack. The Sharks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Oasis' loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Evangelical Christian, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
