Volleyball Recap: Greenwich Wins Going Away Against Newtown

Greenwich won the last time they faced Newtown and things went their way on Monday too. The Cardinals blew past the Nighthawks 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Greenwich not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Newtown to exactly 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.

Greenwich found their leader in sophomore Bailee Dayon, who had nine digs and three assists.

Greenwich has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Newtown, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Greenwich will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newtown, they are taking a road trip to take on Ludlowe at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
