Recap: Alonso Ravens vs. River Ridge Royal Knights
On Monday, Alonso was beaten by River Ridge 54-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alonso has scored all season.
Alexa Ritzenthaler was Alonso's leading scorer, having posted two points.
River Ridge was led to victory by Lauren Lee and Adriana Vien. Lee scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Vien scored 12 points along with six steals. Lee hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaree Nichols, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Alonso's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for River Ridge, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Alonso won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gaither at 8:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for River Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Weeki Wachee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weeki Wachee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 194th, while River Ridge is ranked 23rd).
