Nucla scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cedaredge Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 11-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Paxtin Caruso was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Josh Platt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Nucla's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cedaredge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Nucla has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Ignacio on the 8th. As for Cedaredge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-3 victory against Meeker on the 5th.
