Soccer Recap: Grand Island Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbus on Friday, Grand Island came back down to earth. The Islanders came up short against the Omaha Westside Warriors on Saturday, falling 3-0. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Grand Island it sure didn't stay that way.

Grand Island has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Omaha Westside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Grand Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Omaha Westside, they will challenge Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Omaha Westside's defense better be ready for this one: Bryan have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
