Softball Recap: Marbury Comes Up Short

Marbury lost against Elmore County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Marbury Bulldogs lost 17-6 to the Elmore County Panthers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Hays was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Esco, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Marbury's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Elmore County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Marbury wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Prattville Christian Academy on the 4th. As for Elmore County, they have also already played their next game, a 10-9 defeat against Stanhope Elmore on the 4th.
