Volleyball Recap: Patton Starts Season with Victory Against Freedom

Patton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Freedom Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Freedom scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.

Hannah Huggins paced Patton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huggins got some help from Emma Griffin and her 15 assists. Griffin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Leah Clark, racking up four apiece.

Patton will be playing at home against South Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Freedom, they will face off against Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
