Basketball Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Thomasville Bulldogs

Berrien hasn't had much luck against Thomasville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Berrien Rebels will look to defend their home court against the Thomasville Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m.

Berrien is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Brantley County. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Herons are ranked 194th).

Meanwhile, Thomasville beat Jeff Davis 48-41 on Friday.

Berrien's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Thomasville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Berrien came up short against Thomasville when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 54-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Thomasville's Xavier Burkes Jr., who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
