Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Grady Grisham and Nolan Scott Leads Pleasant Plains over Riverton + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview, Pleasant Plains was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Riverton Hawks 32-16. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their eight-point performance the matchup before.

Alexander Smith had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 27 yards and a pair of TDs. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Pleasant Plains is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. Carson Niemerg helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.

Pleasant Plains didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grady Grisham and Nolan Scott.

The win got Pleasant Plains back to even at 3-3. As for Riverton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
