Basketball Recap: Stevenson Piles Up the Points Against Churchill

Stevenson entered their tilt with Churchill on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 58-30 victory over the Churchill Chargers. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Chargers are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stevenson has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Churchill, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

Stevenson will challenge Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Stevenson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Churchill, they will take on Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Churchill is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
