The Athens Red Hawks will take on the Fraser Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Athens is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.8 points per game this season.

Athens took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Troy 27-0. The Red Hawks pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Colts had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Athens to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Dunlap, who threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Cainan Hanbury helped Dunlap out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and one score.

Another reason for the win was Athens' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Enir Fjolla was especially locked on to Troy's QB and sacked him 2.5 times.

Meanwhile, Fraser can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 13-6 win over Warren Woods-Tower.

Athens' victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Fraser, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Athens against Fraser when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 victory. Do the Red Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ramblers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
