Football Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

After soaring to 37 points the game before, Heritage was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 34-12 to the Kecoughtan Warriors. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kecoughtan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Edinger out in front who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Edinger's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Another rusher making a difference was James Vinnie, who rushed for 78 yards and one TD.

Heritage now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Kecoughtan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Heritage will take on rival Warwick at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. Meanwhile, Kecoughtan is set to face off against their familiar foe Phoebus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
