Basketball Recap: Lakes Comes Up Short

Lakes was the 38-35 winner over Silas when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakes Lancers took a 53-35 bruising from the Silas Rams on Saturday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Annique Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Silas, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Smith also posted eight assists, which is notable because Silas is 2-1 when she posts at least eight assists, but 9-14 otherwise. Carmayla Jackson was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.

Lakes now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Silas, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.

Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Silas, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-31 defeat against Mountain View on the 18th.
